Lysefjord mountain huts and lodges

The 2024 summer hiking season will start soon. Opening times for the huts and lodges have been updated as of April, 2024.

The mountain cabins listed below are those visited when hiking the Lysefjord circuit described in the guidebook ‘Hiking in Norway - South’. Clicking through the image will take you to either the homepage of the hut/lodge, or to the relevant page on ut.no. The dates for the start and end of the summer season 2024 are displayed underneath. All but the Preikestolen lodge in this list are maintained by the Stavanger Trekking Association (stf.no). Preikestolen lodge is now privately owned. The huts are displayed in the order that they appear in the guidebook, when walking the complete circuit. Note that some huts operate as unserviced huts in low season, but might require the universal DNT key to open during those times. Best to check before you go.
